Rest in peace, Doug Yelverton, Shreveport / 1960 - 2010
Douglas Devane Yelverton, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 following a brief illness, said the obituary in the Times.
From the Times: "Although Doug's life was only 50 years long, he lived it to the fullest. Doug was a hair stylist for 33 years and loved his profession. Through his work, he made friends with hundreds of people, and was very respected by his peers. Doug kept cutting hair all the way to the end, except when it was time for golf. We will always love and miss him.
Doug is survived by daughter, Brittney; mother, Jeanette; brother, Tony, sister, Gayle, "his little man" Donovan, and relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010 in the Rose-Neath Marshall Street Chapel, 1815 Marshall, Shreveport."
